Uganda: Tourism Industry Perspective On CHOGM
Now that the long wait for the much heralded Commonwealth Summit is over and the key activities are already underway, the time has probably come to reflect on the planning and preparations for it over the past two years and what positive developments have been generated for Uganda. I am saying for 'UGANDA' as our visitors will not take any of our infrastructure with them except for hopefully very pleasant memories from 'Uganda - Gifted by Nature', leaving the benefits the summit generated behind for all of us to enjoy. .

East High Students Visit Seneca Zoo
A Rochester school program that brings in mentors to work with students ventured out of the classroom. Students from the Rochester Matters Academy at East High went to Seneca Park Zoo. The academy receives no public funding. Teachers weren't sure they'd be able to raise the money to take the field trip, but the county youth bureau came through offering free tickets to the zoo. "This is one of the main tools teachers can use when they come to the zoo. We do self-guided tours, exploration stations, anything the teachers would like," said Ruth Rosenberg, zoo education director. Rochester Matters depends on volunteers to help mentor students in the program. ajl/ay Rochester Matters Seneca Park Zoo Email this Story to a Friend Print Friendly Version .
